Hood vents?

In an attempt to lower underhood temps and engine temps I've been thinking about running some hood vents. There was a discussion over on Quattro World a while back about it but I've been wondering about it for a little while since before then.
My searching hasn't shown anything that is aesthetically pleasing. Does anybody have any experience with certain ones? I believe Jim has some on the Vomit Comet maybe?
Any direction? Or discussion on it actually being worth while?

i was gonna do hood vents. but i scrapped my car. BUT, i had chosen vents from an MR2 hood(rear) to chop up then somehow combine with my hood on my typ44, OR i was gonna have someone laser cut holes.

If you have a hotrod shop nearby, they might be able to do pressed louvers in your hood. Much easier than grafting something in. I've seen this done on 944's and it looked great.

Mine are Erebuni vents, made from FG and NLA. If someone really wanted to make a run of them, we could talk about pulling molds, but I would prefer to have someone 3d scan them and print a plug

Nate added them to his hood and said they helped a lot.

Last year I grabbed some vents from a late 70's Z car to try and graft into an extra hood that I have but never got around to it. I don't think it would do me any good now though. lol

Any clue where those were found? They almost looked to be molded into the hood.
I'll have to keep an eye out for a shop that can press in some louvers like Alex said, I think that would probably look best for the best ease of install.

Those look like the stainless steel vents that you see on boats. I have a set around here somewhere.
