Maybe tune it first before getting into WOT much, regardless of boost levels..?
Re: Darin's 80tq...20 psi ...
Nice Darin, glad its on its way to DD monster status. I worked on mine over the weekend and got a bit done. Test drove it for a day and developed a miss. Bad coil. Im picking up 5 new V8 coils in the morning so i can continue the test drive to no smoking happiness.
Re: Darin's 80tq...20 psi ...
Nice work Darin!!! I can't wait to see the dyno plot and some good video!!!

I was going to say the same thing. Give us a quick summary of what changed. I know a header and rods, what else? If that's it you may just check your fueling to make sure it's not lean from breathing better. Remember, hope is not a strategy. :-)

Nothing else performance wise except the header. I have the a/f gauge in the car and have been keeping an eye on it. All indications that I'm hitting the same ratios but I turned it back down after the 20 psi pull because I do want to get it on the dyno. I hope Hank can get some seat time when he comes in town soon.

Relax everyone. I'm taking it easy. The wick has been turned down and I did one pull. I've been cruising in 6th gear the rest of the time barely above 3500 rpms. I've learned my lessons.

Send me some logs Darin along with a config file and I'll send you back a file.
Send me one with a pull from 3000rpm @100% throttle to 6000rpm @100% throttle in 3rd gear. Try it at around 14psi to make sure things are good, and then we can tune up a bit. Trying hard to get up there next weekend, but I have lots of pending orders that need completed

I trust you, Darin, but don't trust that little devil sitting on your shoulder that wakes up when turbo spools up =) I may not like the turbos but I know the feeling.
Have fun and enjoy the car!

Just finished up passing emissions. Didn't do any adjustments. Hooked it up and passed while waving at the camera! Also got the A/C charged and ready for BBQ!

You ought to be able to do that in the school zone in front of your house I would think.
Nice work Darin!!-

lol, good old school zone. Glad you passed emissions easily. Be glad you're not in California, I guess.
Re: Darin's 80tq...20 psi ...
Is there any type of thread sealant that can be used on fuel fittings? The fitting to the bottom of my FPR still drips a little and I feel like I've tightened it up as far as possible.

Re: Darin's 80tq...fuel leak ...
Most AN fittings don't require any, but I still use a bit of teflon tape on critical connections - even though some will say not to. It can trick you into using too much torque and pulling a thread or snapping off a fitting.
Re: Darin's 80tq...fuel leak ...
Ya, I always use teflon tape on those connections. It's cheap insurance.

Re: Darin's 80tq...fuel leak ...
You have AN fittings they use an oring seal, you might need to get a washer to go around it. take the fitting down to EVCO and tell them you need an o-ring and washer for the fitting and hand them the fitting.
Re: Darin's 80tq...fuel leak ...
or these, its prob the seat as the threads arent of sealing type

Re: Darin's 80tq...fuel leak ...
sorry for the dirty pics.... should have wiped them off. There is a counter sunk spot for an o-ring on most of these style regulators, replace the o-ring and tighten it up, shouldn't leak anymore. Those aren't pipe threads and tape wont seal it up.

Re: Darin's 80tq...fuel leak ...
Def wrong type of fitting to go into that fpr. I doubt it needs a flare.
Re: Darin's 80tq...fuel leak ...
Yeah, that is the wrong fitting, but they work with the right oring. That Oring on yours Brent looks beat. My guess is that Darin's looks the same. Darin, you probably just need a new oring. Like Brent said, go down to EVCO and ask for a new oring for that fitting(in your pocket at the time)

Re: Darin's 80tq...fuel leak ...
I needed the end on the bottom to connect to the stock fuel line the an flare just had the correct thread......
