that'd be one badass brown box! Now there's something Monster Garage should tackle for the next project
I think its time for a nick change for markWAUG0806 wrote:Make it fast like that old red car you dumped last month :woowoo:
Congrats on the new project marc...Cant wait to check it out.a4kquattro wrote:Not a real Rs2, but still a decent fiberglass copy, no big complaints there.kenavery7 wrote:HA!
I almost bought that car... saw it on Audifans. The RS2 front end is worth the price alone.
true, I'll have to keep on top of waxing the paint which is tough given my work life at times. In the end, I found a clean black one, and I prefer the black as it's clearcoated, and thus less prone to fading.
yes, seats included (they are quite comfortable, not the race-only type feel I was expecting), although the bonehead mounting left much to be desired (chunks of PVC pipe as standoffs with bolts _through_ the floor securing the assembly).Did he throw in the seats too?? It had Corbeaus at one point.
Hopefully Wednesday is a little more mature crowd than on the weekends... I really have no interest in racing any 16 year old kids pimpin teh hondas with teh nawwwwwwz :tard:Lastly, I am living in CT now too... you should hit up the Wednesday night Krispy Kreme GTGs in Newington. I won't be there this week, but DEF will next week.
The Berlin Turnpike has all kinds of interesting stuff though, funny how the American muscle cars are typically at the BK, imports doing donuts in the Shaws parking lot and ricers at Krispy Kreme, figure that one out!

I no longer work in hartford, but lets meet up one night soon.
Nice score!a4kquattro wrote:Well, I finally made up my mind on what direction to take the car engine swap wise
:-D
I managed to score a 80k mile v8 4.2 motor out of a 98 a8 for $1500 complete, couldn't pass that up!
It's a suprise!a4kquattro wrote:Hey Tony, me neither on working in Hartford, my company moved to Rocky Hill
Where are you at these days?
You suck! That's a good time. Is it me, or does it look really easy to connect those headers together back by the TB and stick a turbo on it?a4kquattro wrote:Well, I finally made up my mind on what direction to take the car engine swap wise I managed to score a 80k mile v8 4.2 motor out of a 98 a8 for $1500 complete, couldn't pass that up!
not sure, car came with it :-PWOMBAT wrote:where could one find one of these fiberglass RS2 rip offs these days??
:stupid: Looks pretty easy to me too!audifreakjim wrote: Is it me, or does it look really easy to connect those headers together back by the TB and stick a turbo on it?
Yah, well you BLOW! Around 30psi now right? :bump:audifreakjim wrote:You suck!
Single turbo would be one option, true. Not that tough to make a pair of manifolds either tho. That's a good time. Is it me, or does it look really easy to connect those headers together back by the TB and stick a turbo on it?
Yeah, I dont think email was really his forte, first time I emailed him about the motor he replied with something about seats?subvertdesign wrote:Good luck with the project Marc. Did you get that motor from some guy in Ct? McMJupiter email or something? I was emailing him back and forth about an A8 4.2 motor, but I could usually never understand what he wrote, so I eventually gave up.
