For some reason they were very unreliable... broke down a lot.
But, when it worked, it was a monster.
At least they didn't catch fire like the A1 cars used to..

Thanks to Martin for lending me Audi Tool 6869 for shortening the ur-q. Those ur-q purists might want to
look the other way, as another priceless ur-q gets a tummy tuck.
En route to the salon:-

getting closer, negotiating the gate was tricky, too much understeer

Last picture of LWB with suspension

Getting close

A bit of progress, the molds were moved to storage:-

Max picked up his front and rear bumpers
and half of the bonnet mold is done, this was before the parting film was cleaned off:-

Of the big parts we just need the base of the bonnet and the front grill molds
to be completed.

The bonnet looks great, I can't wait to see it finished.
I'll make those parts up this week and get them to the mold guy this weekend.

The bonnet molds are complete and the first parts laid up. Only the grill/head lamp surround and
some of the smaller vents and grill pieces to make. To be honest I am amazed that we have all
the molds except one completed. It has taken longer than I expected but that has been a good thing
from some respects. The plan is to complete the remaining parts for the 8 kits between now and early
spring.

A long, long way to go but there has been a bit more progress:-

The 80 roof is sitting on

This was this morning, the side profile is coming together

The floors will need to be replaced due to rust

And unfortunately the top of the ur-q rear window frame had to be cut out due to rust....
