Those are from Nick's 200, and he is running basically the most aggressive hydro cam Cat sells. No dish on exhaust, and equal looking dish on the intakes. Do you have the spec sheet? we can compare with the JE's Nick has

out of interest how much did the rods/pistons set you back. I'm still very very interested in doing a 07k build just weighing up the costs first.

everything is going well so far. crankcase ventilation needs some work but ive got a temp solution till i can spend a whole day remaking stuff. at least its not going all over the bay now. The car is ridiculous fast for this boost level and no VVT. very driveable off boost. cCouldnt be much happier right now with the car. Ive got probably 100ish miles on it now on the second oil change. one more 500 mile change after this 150-200, then synthetic. thinking Valvoline VR-1. open to debate...

Curious why you're leaning toward Valvoline VR-1? Any articles, specs or hearsay you can offer?
I've long been partial to something along the line of a Total Energy9000 or Motul or RotellaT but am all ears for new info

Basically VR1 is the best bang for your buck as far as quality vs price. For an oil with a decent nickel content.

Good info there - so what would a frequent change mean on these detergent free oils?

I'd say it's speculations without some kind of oil analysis, like what you get from Blackstone Labs.

The car is still running well. I need street tuning since it wasnt reg'd at the time of dyno it was only tuned for a small amount of time idling and for power on pull on the dyno. Fouled one set of plugs after a "babying" ride on sunday not to mention reg and aggressive driving off an on. i keep being paranoid about clicky noises but its just the nature of the chains and nearly solid mounts everywhere and i less than "cushy" chassis. the lack of insulation in the older carpeting etc prob doesnt help either. Otherwise nothing exciting to report except injector cup adapters suck, I did pop an o ring out the other day with no fireworks caused by it. Pheww. Catchcan has been revised so it has screening to prevent so much oil slinging and drains back nicely. I may still need another vent or an actual suction line hooked up to the provent but at least 3-4 pulls doesnt throw a Quart of oil out now...
....after some street tuning it may be time to turn up the boost soon...
25 probably for now.

Don't you have an adjustable height fuel rail? If not, I can tell you who you need to talk to to get some top hats that are much better designed than the FIC ones. They're pretty cheap too.

How come you designed the fuel rail mounts with adapters?
