So I tried to up the boost again to 260 and no go. Made it to 250kpa. I have boost leak checked it a few times and there are no leaks. I am going to try closed loop boost control although I'd prefer it to work the way it currently is setup. I may try a manual controller as well.

I bumped mine up to 250 tonight as well It hit 253 or something (~22psi). I still need a lot more. I also think I need to run some more timing. Care to share your timing? I have two degrees pulled out of everything from 200kpa up just until I hit the dyno, but my car is pulling a few degrees of timing in addition to that (I think because my MAT sensor reads high).

So I put the car in closed loop boost control and it works as it should. Should I just keep it this way or is there something I could change in those P/I/D settings to make the open loop control work correctly?

Nice Chris! I feel like these engines just need a ton of boost to be happy, lol. I have mine up to ~265kpa and! it feels ridiculous. Here's what my timing map looks like:



Mine pulls a decent amount of timing too because the stock IC is probably hating life and IAT's start to climb up. I have not been to the dyno yet and am not sure how much more timing I can throw at it. Right now the plugs come out clean, no detonation. Then again it hasn't gone much over 50 degrees here though. New IC will help me out a bit.

On a side note, I was involved in my first setup roll race last night and the outcome was in my favor . I'll have videos when they are made available to me. The car was a 2009 WRX with a 3" turbo back exhaust, catless up pipe, walbro 255, intake and a custom tune. Last year he trapped 105mph in the quarter mile and that was before the tune and up pipe. He said that similar setups will trap in the 108-111 range (damn new cars running great times on stock turbos!).

He wasn't interested in a dig (probably a weak clutch) so we did a 40 roll and a 55ish roll and both times I pretty much walked him

you've got a pretty huge jump in your timing map between 200 and 320 kpa. If it were me, I'd add at least one cell in between that range.

Thanks for the tip Marc. I've been meaning to rearrange the timing map. Way too many fields below 100kpa.

Any idea about the boost control? Or should I just leave it like this?
