So, I still haven't had a chance to play with cam timing. I parked Oceanic after the ticket for a few days so that I could focus on fixing a few things on the A6. I now have a working key fob/door locks and with living in Vegas I think that's pretty important. I also hooked up the Vag-com and set it up to roll the windows down with the key fob so that's pretty cool too. SO later this week (after 112 degree monday) I will bring it down to the shop have screw with the timing.

Dude, tickets suck! I've been there with my car. I'm guessing you weren't going 140 since you still have the car

Try 68 in a 35... with the boss in the car no less. I just pulled out of the shop onto the main road with him and I did a two gear pull in the car (2nd and 3rd). I just got lucky really, I know I was going faster than 68 for sure. I think radar hit me on decel.

LOL! I will get some more for you soon my friend. Lately I've been so dang busy, the only things I've been able to manage is reservoir replacement and an oil change. I'm giving 15-50 a shot to help keep skirt slap to a minimum.

Well... this happened.

A new ride for the lady. 2009 A4 2.0t Quattro that is pretty much loaded from lane departure assist to Bang & Olufsen sound system. We love it and it makes Nugget (the A6) feel pretty aged. I need to spend some time with it to get it back to where it needs to be.

Sorry, no real updates on Oceanic at the moment. I did do an oil change, so now I'm running 20/50 and the engine loves it.

Whoa, nice man! I bet the sound system is amazing. I wouldn't be able to pass that option up if I was buying new!

Well, 2009 isn't quite new.

It is certified pre-owned with a 2 year 100k warranty though!

lol I wasn't trying to say it was, just saying that if I was presented with the option, it'd be hard to pass up. That is a very expensive option though isn't it? And to most of us here, 2009 might as well be fresh out of the factory haha

LOL, gotcha man! Ya, it's an awesome option, I really love it. IIRC on the A4 it's something like a 3 or 4 thousand dollar option. I know on the A6, it's a 6500 dollar option. I will say this, 2009 does feel factory fresh! The newer chassis are so well sorted, it makes my A6 look like a total jalopy! (and it's not!)

it's ~$1k ($895 maybe?) option when new. The wife's '11 has it. Awesome sound system. And nice buy. Check to see if they performed any of the oil consumption tests/fixes on it. If not, keep an eye on oil level and send to the dealer if drinking 1at per 1k miles

Right on, I know we have the original window sticker so I will have to look. My buddy salesman said it was a 2500 dollar option on the new ones. (2014). And up, all of the oil consumption stuff is all up to snuff.

yeah, I know I was shocked when I looked at our window sticker and compared the price to the A6s... lol. I mean, a tweeter that pops out of the dash is awesome, but not sure it's $6500 awesome!

Glad the oil stuff is up to snuff. Enjoy it! We really love ours. Plenty of pep (esp for the wife who was coming from a ford focus), and the fit/finish is great.

Thanks man! Ya, Cherry loves it considering she had a Corolla for this.

Yup, I know for sure. It is not leaking and I can actually hear the master bypassing the fluid pass the seals. Not to mention my master looks like the stock one. lol

Well, just thought I'd update, this last weekend I did some engine bay clean up, replace my clutch master and replaced my catch can with one I pulled out of the junk yard.

Nothing really to update except a revised crankcase breather set up along with some HIDs. Other than that, just been enjoying the car. I took these today at the Hoover Dam...
