All the tabs broke off one of my pillar covers I reattached it w/ 3m double sided tape. :-D

Haha, I broke like an entire quarter off of one of mine. Should go back together alright though.
I have a feeling I'm going to hate getting it all to fit back in, but it should be very satisfying when its all done.

The thread you found on replacing the headliner, is it on this forum?
Thanks

http://www.motorgeek.com/phpBB2/viewtop ... =headlinerWhile I'm here, is there any special way to get the pillar covers off (the ones that go around the seat belts)?
Those are the only ones I haven't tackled yet, as they seem to be extra stubborn.

Well...............................
I finally got EVERYTHING out.
Just one question:
How does the interior cover for the sunroof panel come off? (not the glass kind)

by thegetawaycar
if its anything like the b2 audis you have to pull the panel then take the headliner panel off.

Tried to take the sunroof panel out so I could recover the fabric part...that didn't go well. Almost ruined it lol.
I figured out how to get it all back together as it dismembered itself as I was trying to get it out, and I just don't have the time to mess with it today. I thought it might be easy, but of course it turned into an ordeal :-D
I'll have to figure that out later.
**EDIT** found a thread with the info I need. I'll post it here for anyone else who happens to read this and would like to know the same thing.

Well thank you very much, thats nice to hear. It always feels good to know others are watching and enjoying.
I'll take pics when the (top half of) the interior is done.
In other news, the exhaust with wg dump tube setup will be fabricated on saturday
Still waiting on news about the SEM
and here are a few more int. progess pics. My mom wanted to know what I was doing with all that suede, so I sent her some pics.
(they aren't done, but you get the idea.

Ok, well nothing too exciting to report...just the same old stuff, but there is a little progress going on.
I just got off the phone with Kevin Black, and he told me he should be able to have everything ready to go by sometime next week. (SEM)
Saturday I'll be going to get the downpipe and wg dump tube fabricated (this was supposed to be last saturday, but it got delayed)
My friend Ronnie is supposed to get a price for me on a set of BBS RS's (found some center caps that I think will go well with pearl centers on the RS's
http://cgi.ebay.com/BBS-RS-RM-BADGES-70 ... .m63.l1177 )
and here is a pic of the finished headliner and pillars, etc.

You are probably going to have my favorite 200tq when your done, Big turbo, suede interior, colormatched Rs'
DRRROOOOLLLL
Let me know how the Lugtronics ECU works out i am VERY interested :thanks:

Thanks man, I'm definitely excited about everything.
I will definitely keep it updated about the lugtronics.
If you'd like more info about it, I can give you Kevin's contact info, etc.
Once more people start using it, its definitely going to blow up I think. It just needs to be proven. Its very affordable, and (tentatively) should be one of the best out there. A lot of really respectable people involved with tuning were the ones that guided me in this direction. I'll be able to speak from personal experience shortly

oh, and the only thing still up in the
air is the suspension setup...
........................................................^^key word...

kidding, but I really do need to get some lowz in line. I just gotta figure out exactly what needs to be done/purchased first.

jesus if you did AIR itd be game over
my buddy who i work with (capeGLS on vortex) has air on his mk4 golf, and honestly it still handles FANTASTIC, like honestly probably better than the koni coils he replaced it with...
and you definetly need some low, your sig pic holy shit it looks like its four feet off the ground hahaha :slap:

by loxxrider
Yeah I remember capeGLS. That car is sweet.
I would love to do air. I mean its so nice to be 4x4, and also nice to have the looks and OK handling. My intention for this car is really more for drag racing and insane highway pulls anyhow. If I want corners, I'll ditch the car and put everything in a CQ. (or just move on to a different project)
I definitely cant deal with being low all the time though. That sig pic is from a photoshoot with a MKIII jetta and a 'teg, and they parked next to where the raised part is...I was just like eff it, reverse, and 4x4'd my way right up on there haha it was gangster as fiddle sticks. :-D
Bags will/would definitely set some of the project back, but thats OK since I don't want it to be over for a long time anyway. I do have a friend who might be able to help out with that.
I know a lot of people on here would hate me for doing it, but I really dont care that much. Like you said, they handle just as well as a lot of coil setups, yet they provide so much functionality and good-lookingness

As much as I support Kevin in what he is doing/done.You have 034EFI on these forums with proven members and results and then you have Marc Swanson of EFIExpress that is also selling VEMS (lugtronic) units.

Wait, I wasn't saying the others were bad or anything like that...what I am getting
is the lugtronic. I wasn't trying to take anything away from any other setup. I know other units are proven, etc. I just decided to try something else.
I'm not quite sure what you were getting at :? Sorry

Which is a VEMS ECU.

Oh, I see...so you are saying its proven right??
I kinda just meant how its basically a plug and play setup...I dont know exactly what the details of a general VEMS setup is.
sorry, I have trouble following sometimes unless its pretty explicit.

VEMS and Lugtronics are the same exact thing plug and play and all that. Lugtronics is just a VEMS sold under a different name. Marc Swanson has already done a lot of work to get the VEMS tuned for a 200 20v.

I try to avoid posting vems stuff here but I should reply to this thread. Yep, I have working tested 200q20v configs ready to go for customers that buy through me. Even a coil per cylinder conversion, all on stock wiring. Only a small extra harness for the wideband (and coils if desired):

Well here is evidence of one update...haha this is just going to be a track setup...I go for function over form.
The welds and bends on this setup is freakin badass. I will run this with the 4088, etc. just a little modified to work with whatever manifold setup I do.
The main thing is it freakin flows, and it sounds like SEXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I will get a good video of it when I get the SEM in as my friend has a camera, not me...and I want to wait until I can antilag it up

O yeah, I definitely shot a huge flame out the other night passing some friends haha
(dont forget to read the bottom of the post...I need some advice)
for your perusal:
(black for stealth

)
muahhahaha its so ridiculous

Now I have a little problem. The track exhaust makes it so I cant really go low now...this kinda rules out dumping the car on RS's...although I could always run them whenever this one isnt on there.
Anyway, I have been selling things and saving a little so I could drop some coin on the RS's, and I've been ready to buy them for a few weeks now (just waiting on a friend to get a price for me)...but I've been thinking maybe its time to just say eff that and drop that $$ on that 950 lb*ft clutch I was quoted for from southbend.
It would certainly make the car nice to launch once the standalone is in to try out the antilag, but I wont really need it until the big boy goes in. Seems kinda dumb to put that in, just putting more wear on it than it needs. Then again, my stock clutch is trying to tell me it hates me everytime I even get close to launching the car.
orrrr maybe I will just put that money away for a tig welder...
this is one of those times when I need someone to talk some sense into me here. 8)

He's saying that Marc already has done what you are trying to do and sells the stuff. It's always nice to support fellow board guys
