I just spent a couple hours going through this entire project. It is absolutely amazing how much custom work there is on this car, you have all my respect and there is no doubt that you know how to build a car.
I do have some questions regarding the car; do you plan on running a roll cage? What about cleaning up the underneath, it seems that the new/clean parts you put under there just pop out so much because of the crust and it would be great to have the underside looking as good as that engine bay!
As well, thank you for posting your project in great detail. It has assured me that even though there isn't a huge selection of parts for these cars because of their production numbers, almost anything is possible (of course with the right knowledge, resources and time)

Thats a tricky one. If I was going to keep the car forever I would install a roll cage. But eventually I will probably put the car up for sale, and a cage can be a deal breaker for some people..

One of these days I'll put the car on a lift and hit it with a pressure washer.

Some updates. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I hope Janis is flattered 

I also *finally* got around to installing my JHM solid shifter. I really like the feel, can totally tell the difference right away:

Watkins glen 3 is coming up fast, so I wanted to get the wideband hooked back up to the car so I could re-tune it with the new 1000cc injectors, which is what started the drive to re-do the center console area. I was out of room for more gauges :-P

Nothing really. I have a separate more manly looking switch for map select. I find the HVAC buttons too flaky for anything important. I mostly cut the holes for them in the panel because they were attached to my climate controls box. only later did I realize how easy it would have been to just remove them. oh well.

So I did some 'after' flow bench testing and its leaving me scratching my head some. I'm pretty sure I messed up on the original intake measurements because the numbers are so far off (and I think I know why: the jig I was using to secure the micrometer was too far away from the attachment point causes spring action in the mechanism preventing accurate measurements of lift). Anyway, here are some scans of what I came up with. First, the intake, the 'after' numbers are on the bottom (see above disclaimer):

exhaust numbers make more sense but still interesting. I started off at roughly the same flow, lost some in the mid range and gained at high lift:

So I went to load up the valves in the heads today only to realize that I didn't have any valve stem seals
I'll have to order some next week.
Instead I started prepping the block. Someone suggested threading a bolt into the crank bushing to remove it. I didn't have a bolt big enough but I did have a big tap that was about the right size, 24mmx1.5. Worked perfect!
