Sway bar rubber bushings on a 4000Q

Post by 90quattrocoupe »

So everyone, who has tried to remove and especially replace these bushings, usually finds it a PTA.

So what are thoughts on cutting them in the middle and making two halves? They are held in with the tube and washers. Would it be that bad?

I was able to pull the bushings in with a couple sockets and some threaded rod, just lube up the bushings and keep trying.

No reason to cut them then.

Will cutting a bushing in half and then reinstalling it have an effect? Probably. Dont know for sure but if you can put them in without cutting them why even risk it?
