Good morning/Evening depending on where abouts in the world you are from.
I have a B2 Audi 80 quattro, which I think is an Audi 4000 in the states. As part of a winter overhaul I'm planning to swap out the 016 box for a 6 speed 01E. I'm hoping some people will be able to help me with some information, I've done some searching online and although I've managed to find some of the info I need, I just want to confirm some of it before I spend any more money, and maybe this will help others in the future. Alternatively, feel free to tell me to keep looking for information elsewhere!
So I think my shopping list stands at:
Iroz RS2 replica engine mounts
Iroz linkage bar
Iroz driveshaft spacer
Iroz lever arm
URS4/6 reverse lock out box
01E gearbox
Rear driveshaft for front
What are my options for 6 speed boxes in terms of pros and cons? I assume the rear diff will have to be swapped out to match the 01E box?
Does anyone have a guide for changing the reverse lock out system?
I assume the cups on my current saloon are 100mm, do I need to change the output flanges on the 01E box to 100mm to match the current shafts and therefore the spacer I buy from Iroz?
In terms of speedo drive system, currently it is a mechanical setup, which I want to continue to use for the time being. Is the 01E box also mechanical driven?
I would quite like to utilise the 11mm additional clearance at the front from changing to 01E, so no spacer required for the prop. However, do the engine mounts need elongating for this or is there enough adjustment in them as standard?
Sorry for the long list of questions, the answers are probably quite obvious to some of you. A link to anyone else's previous endeavors would be great.
Cheers

I can't answer all your questions, but I'm sure that -- among others -- Martin (aka ralleyquattro) has covered it all in one of his threads.
Regarding your 6sp 01e question, you can get one from a b5s4/c5a6 and allroad/b6a4 3.0/b4 rs2/late s2 and possibly others if you're from Europe. You can also get a TDI gearbox if you want the lower cruising rpm and integrated oil cooler (also found on AR transmissions, I believe). Otherwise there isn't much difference aside from the flexible mainshaft found on the later versions. Dave (Urs4boy) on S2forum and quattroworld has done some good work listing the variations and codes of the different 01e transmissions. You'll definitely want to match a 4.11 final drive rear diff in the process.
Sorry I can't be of much help but that should hopefully answer a couple questions.
