At least a bit more then the guy who was driving the flappy paddle Gallardo that the same friend embarrassed from a 5-kmh roll thru 1st and 2nd before the Lambo pulled off down a side street, on another occasion (and I was there that time)

Our biggest most direct aim should be those damn B5S4's first...

Nice OB! That second vid is fresh, but what a horrible title... how's one to search that shit online? lol

I'm glad you agree, at any rate, that the b5s4 should be our most direct aim for kills... they have this air about them like their shit doesn't stink and balk at any mention of maintenance queen. lol

When I initially spec'd out my build with Hank (and others) my one stated aim was to at least roll with, if not obliterate, my b5s4 friends. One of whom has an F21 Avant on meth and the two others have 6262 ST builds. If I fall in the middle it wouldn't hurt my feelings ;)

The title will eventually change it was just shorthand for Race Wars 2014 which happened this weekend in PA...
The young ones do have an "air" about them, but I rarely associate with those... The reason I feel this is a good segment to campare to is because many are proximating the GTR level of quickness and finding one to friendly play with us older 20vt crew would be easier and more likely to play... GTR owners certainly look at me weird when I pull next to them, they don't even try... Talk about "air"...

I have a close GTR buddy that I do have in my sites, it's stock... If can just "roll" with him at some point in my build I wouldn't be mad either... I figure I'd need at least 550whp to mach his high 400crank figure...
We'll see...

Really? Even a roll with nearly the same weight and pretty close aero? I guess shifting kills you...

I'd guess that's part of it, but the main factor would be power under the curve.

Alpha6 would be tough but an 07k'd T44 (or 600+ WHP urI5) should be able to take a stock GTR

Fair enough. Ill set my goal to try and kill the b5s4's before I try to get to the GTR's.

So that leads to what setup would I need to accomplish that?
I'm really debating of just keeping the 20vt 200 as a daily to be able to move around and putting the 20v 200 in the garage and do a complete overhaul of the car. Build it from the ground up.

600+ whp sounds easy haha just kidding. Ill be happy with beating stock GTR's. Just curious, what does the 07k come it?

A 07k'd type 44 does not sound like a bad idea! (you do mean a 200?)

Yeah, it'd be interesting to see the 07Quattro vs an Alpha6 GTR. Now Alpha 12...

Ehhhh, cams, turbo, and cryo to the intercooler...

I have no intent to go 180 in ANY UrQ lol

10.152 @ ~162 mph vs

Seems the difference between a 600 hp GTR and a "1700" hp GTR is the same as a 500hp Supra and a 1000hp Supra.

You have to remember that ET is moot anywhere but the 1/4 mile. I'm not condoning said extracurricular activities, but a 10.1 @ 162 car would absolutely destroy a 10.4 @ 139 car from a 40 punch. 3mph difference in trap speed between 2 cars going 40-140 is a bus length. 23mph difference would be a freight train.

I'm not in a type 44, and I rupump 93 in my avant. I had the opportunity to launch against a Switzer GTR a while back and dude left me like I was in reverse. I don't think that E85 from a roll with a gutted car would make that much difference. That thing was a veritable rocket ship. I think I actually heard him discussing take off with NASA before he punched it. You could probably buy a GTR and mod it for less $$$$$ than making a type 44 or UrS hang with that thing.

PS. I still think taking a Murcielago from a roll with a UrS avant is possible with E85, the right turbo, and the right start speed. I won't get there before my UrQ gets a built 07K on corn, but its possible.
Rob

Prepping my 91 M5 Dinan for sale to fund 07K and EFR build for my UrQ. May also sell Lotus Elan resto project. PM if interested in either.

My tongue was in my cheek about the Alpha 12.

Nobody said it'd be easy

But I think saying "a urS" or "a T44" is a bit general and I hope that Da Monstah and Chris' Revver T44 will have many GTRs on their fenders (kills).

Nothing is impossible (even with questionable body mods)

If you can't beat the transmission, equal the transmission. :guns: :guns: :guns:

This is a side project I have been working on for a long time as time permits(very rarely, if at all). But it is basically a 3100lb version of the GTR. Dual clutch transmission, awd, big brakes, lots of tire, etc. I am hoping for ~700whp/650wtq with HTA3586r but I'll probably test the waters with that turbo and maybe move up to a 6466 HTA later on as it is the same footprint. A 700whp 3100lb full weight MK2 TT with a 07k is the same power to weight ratio as a 900whp GTR. Based on the same math and seeing where 900whp gtrs are, this TT ought to be in the 9s. Go to line, hold traction control button for 5 seconds, initialize launch controll, but in drive, hold brake, floor gas pedal, allow revs to climb to 4100, release when ready. Some call it cheating. Meh, I am a technology addict.

Should be fun.

Great videos!
So from what i understand from everyones post is that my biggest enemys would be:
1) weight. Either gutting the hell out of the 200 or going with a smaller audi.
2) areo dynamics. Especially at higher speeds.
3) my transmission.
4) driver error. I need to be on top of my game.

If theres something i missed, let me know.

My plan is to trap 140+ so you guys will eventually see a GTR killing 200 :)

A B3 90 had a CD of .29 which blew my mind. The aero is not far behind. Just have to make sure it doesn't generate lift above 150 mph haha.

The red demon is running the same Super 94 turbo and trapping low 180's, so your goal isn't unrealistic by any means.
