its been a while since i updated anything about the car because its been a while since i worked on it. the parts i need and needed to fix it are so expensive i lost interest in the car because of lack of funds to repair it. last problem i had was the key way shearing off on the crank gear for a second time which bent my exhaust valves again it also took a toll on my cam gear and broke the key way off on it too.
after pricing the parts from audi and looking at the prices for aftermarket parts i was extremely disappointed and discouraged. this was after i had purchased a VEMS ECU for the car which only ran it for 11 hours and had what i was told a processor failure. so i was already out 1300.00 on the ECU and now i was done to spending another 800 to a 1000 to fix the gears and the head. talk about everything falling to shit all at once

.
so the car has sat torn apart in the corner of the garage after diagnosis for the past 4 months. instead of spending 2000.00 bucks on it i spent the 2 grand i had saved and bought a URS6 avant to drive daily instead. i'd rather have a car thats not going to break every 15 minutes to drive daily. so after 4 months of saving again i finally could afford to buy the tommi's billet crank gear instead of the factory one that i swear is made of glass. one of my friends has a spare AAN engine and was kind enough to lend me his cam gear for now till i can afford the tommi's billet cam gear too. now the matter of saving up around 400.00 bucks to get my VEMS ECU fixed so i can drive it again. it probably wont run again till mid winter or even next spring

.
i have started working on the car again though. this time i moved the radiator from out front like i originally had and went back to the traditional side mount setup with a little twist. i didnt use the usual stock radiator, i opted to use an aftermarket aluminum 3 pass honda radiator that i modified to have the inlets and outlets like the original radiator. along with this setup i had to modify the water manifold to be more like a 3B one moving the radiator outlet toward the rear of the engine. it looks like a bit of a mess at the moment but i think its all going to work out just fine.
The cam gear my friend lent me, its not pretty but it will work.

Decided to clean and powder coat the cam gear. looks much nicer now.

The day i got my tommi's billet crank gear.

bolted the modified water manifold on, test fit the honda radiator and start making some of the radiator hoses.

Lightly bolted the intake manifold on to check clearances and everything is tight but looks like its going to work just fine.

Well thats it for now. i will most likely get all this finished up and the car will sit till i can afford to get my ECU repaired.
Almost forgot to post some pics of the S6 avant too!
Paid 2 grand for it! the owner thought the head gasket was bad lol because there was liquid coming out of the exhaust.
The day i got the machine! first things first and that was to remove the god awful front plate holder and get rid of the stock wheels because they are hideous.

Had to replace the stock wheels with something so i had a set of 18in porsche twists with H&R adapters sitting around to install. i picked the wheels with the adapters up for a 100.00 and no their not stolen.

the mileage the day i brought it home.

Mileage as of last monday.

I installed a small custom ECU tune with an 034 varimap in the ECU shortly after this along with a custom made 3in turbo back exhaust and single borla muffler. than i decided the stock intercooler sucked so i put a big scary frount mount on it.

along the way i plasti-dipped the roof rails, the chrome around the windows and around the grill black. i put URS4 mirrors on because i hate the nemo mirror, it makes the car look awkward. added window tint and my custom mono wiper setup which does wipe a full 180 degrees.
here's some other pics.
this is my car with my friends 80,00 mile URS6 avant.

I broke one of my inner tail lights by accident so i ended up with euro audi 100 inner tail lights and filler.

Engine bay after cleaning, powder coating and modifications. current setup is stock engine with Ebay RS2 manifold, custom intake, full custom 3in turbo back exhaust with external dump wastegate, custom 1.8T coil pack conversion, powder coated matte black valve cover and intake manifold, 31x12x3 fmic with custom made piping.

my ignition cut launch control setup is not nice to a borla muffler either lol.
