Spoken just like the engineers I work with or the local building engineers that weren't going to OK a planned system I was using because they had never seen it used and didn't like it. You may want to add a reason why you highly doubt, or at least define "work", but just throwing out a statement like that isn't very helpful or considerate ....chief.

well, i'm not stupid, i'm adding more tape than that... it's just a "Tack" piece. i'm not going to cheap out with the green tape though,

ok, this is only slightly scientific. if you're gonna tell me... "that isn't based on real world, blah blah blah", save your breath, i just did this to get an idea of what's going on inside with the air. i figured it was better than absolutely no kind of testing at all.

tools used is a smoker for finding leaks in intakes, exhaust, and evap. systems.. works pretty good for those things, and IMO, kinda gives me a good idea of what's going on in here

it doesn't tell me how it equalizes the flow between cylinders, but it lets me know how the air is going through all the channels. it does have a noticeable tornado effect under the low pressure, but once the vacuum is one, POOF, it's all sucked in pretty smoothly. the smoke dispersed very evenly amongst the second plenum.

i dunno, it appears ok to me, but please pipe up if you have a worthwhile suggestion of notice... i'd like to start welding it up soon

i dunno know boss, it's hard to see what's really going on in there. Why don't you just button it up and have it flow benched?

You can always cut it open again after, and modify it.

ja, i was thinkin' that. if it doesn't work so well, i can cut the plenum off and make a standard plenum super easy.

Derek, Issam may be correct, but you can really only tell if it is going to work with CFD. Flow benches are nice, but they cannot give the full picture (they can only say if you have balanced flow, and then don't even tell you what you need to do to fix it).

Have you gotten the urge to pick up some of the design books that are out there? They can be a little spendy, and can be a little math-y...

hey, there are actually a few of us that have engineering degrees that are not super cocky know-it-alls and realize there is a lot to be learned from people on the feild who are actually doing the work. 8)

Using one type of aluminum would probably help a lot.
