Re: Kirk's CQ Build - 2020 Update!
Nice upgrades! What suspension was on it before the KWs?
Thanks! I previously had 2Bennet/Koni coils on it with aluminum subframe bushings, OEM rubber control arm bushings, Sachs strut mounts, and delrin trans & diff mounts. I think the rubber strut and control arm bushings are pretty important ...

Re: Quattromog #2: Front Suspension Fabrication
Awesome. Those controls look great!
Did you have to get longer flexible brake lines/ABS wiring? It looked a little stretched in one of the pics.
I had to drill out the rivets for the bracket that holds them to the chassis and move it to make room for the upper drop brackets, but I have not ...

Re: Kirk's CQ Build - 2020 Update!
Looks pretty nice!
I've thought about putting the Verkline subframes and arms on the 90. Looks like the clearance on lower pillow block to rotor is pretty tight, just the angle?
Quality is great and they are pretty slick, but the arms do push the front wheels forward to increase caster angle so ...

Re: Quattromog #2: Front Suspension
Long overdue update. Turns out stuff takes way longer with a kid, but no complaints, totally worth it.
I have been making slow progress on front suspension over the last few months and am now getting some real momentum going. The overall plan here is similar to what I did on the B3 with lifting ...

If I ride my bike to your house to help swing that motor in I'll be too tired to ride home, so the only solution is to get it running same day. Let's do it!

Re: Quattromog: The Original
Final (?) update on this thread- Coupe Quattromog was sold on BAT and is now in Salt Lake City, UT. Looks like the new owners will use it the way it was intended, so that’s pretty awesome. Dave knows the buyer so hopefully he will update is from time to time with photos of it in action

Re: Quattromog: For Sale on BAT!
As most of you have already seen, I picked up a pair of UrQuattro rally cars from a true barn find here in WA so I'm making room for the new projects. It's time for someone else to take and enjoy this thing as much or more than I have. :)

The car drove great and did not feel like it was lacking power even with the big tires, but more torque never hurt anyone.. right? Audi left a lot on the table with this engine power-wise, and I've been told by a few people in-the-know (engineers at APR) that the Stage 1 tune ...

Get that update up! I love where this is going. Makes me miss my old 4000q with Hella 500's mounted to the bumper.
What fuse/ relay box did you use?
Hahaha hey thanks! I’ve got another update on the way as well.
Haven’t mounted it yet, but here is the fuse/relay box I got:

Re: Quattromog #2: Quattromog XL?
Wheels & tires showed up this week and as expected some fitment work was required. My goal was to get as much sidewall as possible, which means the smallest wheels possible. Very un-allroad like ;)

Anyone else having trouble getting a new post to process? I wrote out an update and have been trying to post it for two days but keep getting an error. Maybe its due to photo links since editing this post seems to work fine with just text?
