Re: trying to figure out URS6 ride height difference.
I'd do coilovers if the budget allowed, but this is not a vehicle warranting that kind of cash right now. Thanks for the info though.

Doing some digging on the 29921 springs...are they low enough that you need (or should) do the Igor Mod to get a proper alignment?

2003 B6 A4 1.8t 5-spd
Selling the A4 to put funds into the S6. Not the typical car for this crowd I suspect, but in case anyone wants a DD it'd be a decent option with pretty much all of the usual issues already fixed.

There is definitely something to be said about stock and reliability. And also what 'daily driver' means to you...
For the past 3 years, I have had an 84 mile round trip freeway commute 5 days/week. And usually a 30 mile round trip up the canyon on the weekend for skiing or mountain biking.

Coupe S-Line Revival
After falling off the face of the Audi world for awhile (well, kind of), I decided it's time to get back. I have the fairly well documented 'Coupe S-Line' in the driveway begging for some love. Previous threads here:

PM's replied to - sorry for the delay, power outage Sunday followed by travel for work yesterday.
Anyhow - I will get the exact powerflex part # when I get home tonight as I do not have that off hand.

Re: AWD wagon for DD
Nope, no 3rd row seating just a big ol cargo area. Heated steering wheel though, which I previously made fun of...but it is sublime.
Finding 3.2 avants is easy. I somewhat fell into this one, but looking at the market - 3.0T's are scarce.

With some help from the googles, sounds like the theory has been around awhile: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axial_engine

Re: Convince me that Audi Auto's aren't terrible?
The autos in the B6 and b7 aren't very good. A lot of guys over at audizine have a lot of issues with them once they get into the higher miles (150k +). A buddy of mine had his auto trans fail in his b7 around 100k.
The b7 avant absolutely did come with a stick. In fact, the same friend that had ...

Ed...wow. Your knack for finding these things is impressive.
We really only have 1 shot at a local A6 before it goes on the market, so that will hopefully be the route we go. Will have pics this weekend of the result...

Yes, from the s-line. I have a similarly modified 01E in the garage that needs to go to make some space. No rush at this point, just putting it out there.

AWD wagon for DD
So, in order to continue the S-Line as a project, we need something to replace it as DD for the lady, and it also needs to function as dog hauler, mtb hauler, kid hauler, and ski car. Ideally something I don't have to touch besides maintenance for ~5yrs. We're both stuck in a 'paralysis by analysis ...

Brandon's 90 CQ
Figured I was overdue to start this thread. This used to be Zzak's, then Sean's, and now currently resides in my driveway. Right now it is in DD use by the better half, but as it recently had one of the fender flares scuffed up in a parking lot (but held up surprisingly well) I am in the hunt for a ...

Re: 1PissedOff90
Exciting stuff, provided you can pry it from the wife's hands! So does this make 12 rings in the driveway between your cq, ths 90, and the cq you are re-rehabilitating?
Also, would you be interested in a high rear bias 016 at some point?

Well, I took the car in before it hit 90 today and it passed so now the fun can begin. It'll be pretty damn hot this afternoon so I'll take it out and get a log after it gets all warmed up. I passed a new brewery on the way to the emissions testing facility...

Creeping lambda with temp?
So I'm fiddling around with the car trying to pass CO emissions, and sitting in line to get tested today I notice that lambda is decreasing as the car sits and temp rises. It eventually gets to the point where it's at 0.7 at idle and 0.9 under throttle and it won't even run w/o throttle input. We ...
